    Oakland man sells narcotics to undercover detectives leading to drug bust

    ( KRON ) – More than two pounds of meth and other various drugs were located at an Oakland residence after an 8-month drug investigation, according to the Marin County Sheriff’s Office.

    In February, the Marin County Specialized Investigative Unit began an investigation into a man suspected of selling illegal narcotics in the county. The suspect was identified as 56-year-old Oakland resident David Lester.

    Authorities said Lester sold illegal narcotics to undercover officers multiple times. Authorities said Lester sold detectives more than 12 pounds of meth, more than 6.5 pounds of gamma-hydroxybutyrate (GHB), ketamine, cocaine, MDMA, psilocybin mushrooms, Xanax, oxycodone and other drugs.

    In October, authorities searched Lester’s residence. The search yielded more than 12 pounds of GHB, 2.5 pounds of meth, cocaine, ketamine, MDMA, Xanax and various other illegal drugs.

    In a photo provided by the Marin County Sheriff’s Office, authorities also gathered drug paraphernalia and a large sum of cash.
