( KRON ) — Nearly 2,000 cannabis plants and products worth more than $1.6 million were seized from three residences in Contra Costa County earlier this month by the California Department of Cannabis Control (DCC), officials said.

On October 3, two search warrants were served to residential homes in Antioch, located on Horseshoe Circle and Le Conte Circle, DCC said. A third search warrant was served in Brentwood on Tiffany Drive. The search warrants related to unlicensed indoor cannabis cultivation.

As a result of the searches, authorities seized a total of 1,007 pounds of illegal cannabis products, including 1,981 cannabis plants, officials said. The estimated value, according to DCC, exceeded $1.6 million.

At the Le Conte Circle home, authorities uncovered “numerous” illegal pesticides along with a malnourished kitten, DCC said. Local animal control took the kitten, and it will be made available for adoption once healthy.

The three residences had code violations and were red-tagged by officials, DCC said. The power was shut off by local code enforcement.

No arrests were made in connection to the search warrants, officials said.

The Antioch Code Enforcement Division, Antioch Animal Control, Brentwood Police Department and Brentwood Community Enrichment were involved in executing the search warrants.
