Student stabbed at San Jose school, 1 arrested: police

( KRON ) — A student was stabbed in an altercation between them and another student on Thursday morning, according to the San Jose Police Department.

Police received calls of the school stabbing, located at the 14000 block of Story Road, at about 8:30 a.m.

Responding officers found one student with a stab wound. That student, who remained unidentified, was taken to a nearby hospital, police said.

According to SJPD, one male student was taken into custody.

As of 11:20 a.m., police said there was no ongoing threat to public safety. “Officers will be on campus for a significant amount of time to investigate the incident,” SJPD said.

SJPD is asking the public to avoid the area.
