    Gunshot rings out during Redwood City robbery Wednesday

    ( KRON ) — A gun was fired during an armed robbery in Redwood City Wednesday afternoon, according to the Redwood City Police Department. Multiple suspects fled before police arrived on scene.

    Police were called to the area of Arguello and D streets at around 1 p.m. on the report of a robbery. Several victims told arriving officers that three to four suspects armed with handguns demanded their jewelry and other valuables, Redwood City PD said.

    During the armed robbery, a single gunshot was fired, according to authorities. No one was struck by the gunfire, and there were no serious injuries reported.

    The group fled in a dark-colored SUV, police said. No arrests have been made in connection to the incident as of midday Thursday.
