Hulu outage: Thousands of users report issues with streaming service

( KRON ) — A Hulu outage Thursday night has affected thousands of users, according to Downdetector. As many as 82,512 users reported issues with the streaming service, which peaked at 6:13 p.m.

Some Hulu customers posted on X screenshots of the error message they received trying to stream the program they were watching.

“We’re having trouble playing this. Rest assured, we’re working on it. In the meantime it may help if you restart the video,” the message read on one X post .

In addition to its slate of TV shows and movies, Hulu also provides streaming for live TV.

According to X, some Hulu users missed the 10th inning of the ALCS Game 3 between the New York Yankees and Cleveland Guardians. One X user tweeted at Hulu and called their service “garbage.”

Hulu responded by saying, “We’re sorry for any inconvenience. Our team is working to resolve this behavior ASAP. We really appreciate your patience while we work on a fix.”

The Disney-owned streaming platform responded to dozens of tweets on X that expressed anger toward the app and its crashing.

As of 7:30 p.m., 3,830 Hulu users still have issues with the streaming platform, according to Downdetector.
