(KRON) — The Petaluma Police Department (PPD) arrested a man after a tip about “illegal, obscene, digital images/data,” which led them to execute a search warrant at his home.

PPD said Nicholas Schlager was arrested Thursday for an outstanding felony warrant related to this case.

Detectives confirmed Schlager’s electronic devices, which contained the illicit images, were seized during the search. Schlager was booked at the Sonoma County Jail for “possessing images/data, etc. of persons under 18 years of age engaging in or simulating sexual conduct,” reported PPD.

This is an open and active investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Petaluma Police Department at 707-781-1291 or email ppdtips@cityofpetaluma.org.
