Former Saints running back hosts sports camp for kids in hometown of Iota
IOTA, La. (KPLC) - McNeese alum and former Saints running back hosted a sports camp in his hometown of Iota to teach the next generation the skills they need to succeed. Jordan comes from humble beginnings in the town of Iota where he played high school football and went on to play at McNeese and eventually the NFL where he suited up for the New Orleans Saints from 1986 to 1992.
Local pastor accused of theft for refusing to complete construction project
LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - A local pastor is being accused of theft after refusing to finish a project for a client. Derek D. Bellard, of Stay the Course of Louisiana Full Gospel Ministries, was arrested July 8 and charged with theft over $25,000, according to the Calcasieu Parish District Attorney’s Office. He was released the following day on a $15,000 bond.

WEST FELICIANA — Two adults and a three-year-old child from Baton Rouge, were injured in a crash Sunday night on Highway 61. It was around 10:30 p.m. on July 14 with Louisiana State Police troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash on Hwy. 61, just north of Hwy. 10 in West Feliciana Parish.
