Victim Identified in Early Morning Homicide on West Congress Street in Lafayette
The Lafayette Police Department has identified the victim in the homicide that occurred on the 3800 block of West Congress Street early this morning. The victim, Corey James Lapoint, 38, of Lafayette, was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds shortly before 1 a.m. and was pronounced dead at the scene.
