Sgt. Prince died on September 22, 1942, after being subjected to the Bataan Death March conducted by Japanese forces. His body was laid to rest at the Mission Garden of Memories Cemetery in Clovis.

Prince is the second Bataan veteran to be repatriated this year though hundreds remain unidentified.
