    Millions available for New Mexico park improvements

    SANTA FE, N.M. (KRQE) – Local governments can apply for funding to improve their city parks.

    The State set aside $7.5 million through the Capital Outlay Bill this year to create the City Park Improvement Program.

    Middle Rio Grande Conservancy District faces water concerns as irrigation season wraps up

    New Mexico counties, municipalities, tribal entities, and special districts can apply. Eligible projects include new playgrounds, sports fields or trails, and improved accessibility.

    Entities have until August 30 to apply.
