Investigation launched after body found near Roswell

CHAVES COUNTY, N.M . (KRQE) – The Chaves County Sheriff’s Office has launched an investigation after 34-year-old Amanda Sifuentes was found dead east of Roswell on Thursday, August 15.

CCSO says around 3 p.m. deputies received information about a possible body that had been found east of Roswell. Deputies responded and located Sifuentes dead at the scene. CCSO says based on evidence at the scene, the death is believed to be a homicide. Anyone with information is asked to contact CCSO at (575) 624-6500.
