The city bought the downtown property near 5th St. and Mountain in 2020. The almost $8 million expansion project broke ground late in 2023. The project will include multi-sport courts, a dog park, food truck plaza and a playground. The city says the improvements at Wells Park are on track to be complete in early 2025.
