    Albuquerque woman sentenced for stabbing death of her boyfriend

    NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – Chrystyne Sanchez was sentenced Monday for the stabbing death of her boyfriend in 2019. Sanchez took a plea deal , pleading no contest to voluntary manslaughter in 2023.

    In 2019, Christian Reed was stabbed to death at Sanchez’ apartment in Albuquerque. Sanchez told police the two got into a fight and Reed threatened her with a knife, so she stabbed him. Under the plea agreement, Judge Lucy Solimon sentenced Sanchez to two year, with time served she’ll be released on January 6 and sent to a drug rehabilitation center.
