ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Albuquerque Police Department is investigating after a man was shot and killed near Menaul and Carlisle early Tuesday morning.

APD says officers were called to the 2600 block of Adams St. NE, around 3:20 a.m. to reports of a shooting. When officers arrived on scene, they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. Medical personnel determined the man was dead on scene. Police say witnesses told them the man came out of his home to interrupt an attempted auto theft or burglary and was shot during the interaction. APD says no suspects are currently in custody.

Albuquerque needs to pass a law! Anyone wrongfully entering your property or home can be shot! That’s the only way to stop these thieves.

the story the mews is reporting is most likely a fake one. i know the dude that was shot...he was a scam artist and not a good person. im sure it was someone he knew that killed him. someone he did dirty. this dude had plenty of guns and would never have gone out at 2-3am without a gun if his property was being messed with....he had the mentality of shoot first. so the story doesn't match up.
