SANTA FE, N.M. (KRQE) – Santa Fe police arrested a man they called a “prolific burglar.” Officers responded to a call on Saturday about a suspicious person near West Cordova Rd. They ended up finding 50-year-old George Montoya who had an arrest warrant for burglary and credit card fraud.

Montoya ran away from officers and hid in a crawl space between two businesses where he was later discovered and arrested. Police said he stole a wallet at a local Trader Joe’s earlier that day. Montoya has a lengthy rap sheet dating back to 1992 which includes aggravated burglary, stalking, fraud, and identity theft.
