According to a criminal complaint, a co-worker called police after finding messages from runaways on Martinez’ smartwatch. During an investigation, police discovered a 16-year-old and 14-year-old would occasionally stay with Martinez and smoke cannabis with him, but said he didn’t do anything inappropriate with them. Judge Courtney Weaks accepted the plea deal and sentenced Martinez to two years of supervised probation.

Now if that was a regular citizen would they have gotten the same sentence. I’m sure they would have gotten kidnapping charges as well
