Heat continues today as Gallup and Farmington are expected to reach record highs once again. Mostly dry conditions will be present with a chance of a pop-up shower across northern and western parts of the state.

Another round of record heat is expected Monday afternoon, central and western parts of New Mexico are especially going to feel it. Highs will climb back into the 90s Monday afternoon in the Metro. Another cold front moves in by early Tuesday morning, which will cool off highs just slightly again Tuesday. However, this is short-lived with another warmup starting Wednesday, that will keep near-record heat around into the end of next week.

Looking toward Balloon Fiesta, unfortunately, it is going to stay very warm for the first weekend, with low temperatures in the low 50s and highs in the mid-80s.
