ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Albuquerque Police Department (APD) has reported an incident that killed a pedestrian. It happened Saturday night.

APD’s Fatal Crash Team was called to San Pedro Drive NE and San Antonio Drive NE for a crash. They stated three vehicles were involved, but one fled the scene.

Death prevents New Mexico murder trial from taking place, court docs show

Authorities believe the unknown vehicle was heading east on San Pedro when it struck the pedestrian, who was on the road. Two other vehicles hit the pedestrian, but they stayed and talked with police.

The pedestrian died, and APD is investigating.

Please stop jaywalking. Press the damn cross walk button also so drivers can see the walking signal at night and check for someone walking. When I see a red hand that tells me people are not crossing. It is equivalent to a red light to vehicles. Laws are there for a reason.
