    Albuquerque man accused of keeping man hostage in a motel

    ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – An Albuquerque man once charged in a bank robbery is facing new charges. Sirsteven McGriff is suspected of helping hold a man hostage for nearly two days in a motel on Central Ave. last month. The victim was found tied up with gunshot wounds to his stomach and leg.

    KRQE News 13 has reported on McGriff before when he was accused of robbing a bank in Feburary 2023. Court records show that the case was dismissed after McGriff was found incompetent to stand trial. There is an arrest warrant out for McGriff in the new case.
