ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Heading to Balloon Fiesta Park and experiencing the event from inside the park can be an amazing experience. But, dealing with large crowds and the traffic that comes with it can be a deterrent to some people.

What else is happening in Albuquerque during Balloon Fiesta?

For anyone that wants to watch the balloons, but avoid the traffic and crowds, there are places throughout the city that offer great views. Some of these alternate viewing areas include:

    • Tin Can Alley
    • Sandia Resort and Casino
    • North Domingo Baca Park
    • Steel Bender Brewery
    • Ex Novo Brewing, Corrales
    • Vista Del Norte Park
    • Along the Rio Grande/Bosque

Great places to view balloons can be found throughout the city, not just at the places listed above. Restaurants and brewery’s often have viewing events for mass ascension. Even parking your car along the road or an empty lot with a clear view of the sky can be great for viewing balloons.
