ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The city of Albuquerque has issued a shutdown notification for contractors and businesses that generate dust. The shutdown is set for Friday afternoon until 7:00 p.m.

The city makes these shutdown notices as a precautionary step to cut down on “fugitive dust.” If the condition worsens, the city may issue a Health Alert. They encourage people to report any contractors or other businesses they believe are not complying with the shutdown notices to the city.

For assistance in complying with the Shutdown Notice, people can call Jon Lutz at 505-768-1957 or Tony Romero at 505-228-6989.
