    1 person killed during ‘code enforcement’ operation at Tewa Lodge, APD says

    ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – One person was killed after being involved in a shooting with the Albuquerque Police Department (APD) on Friday.

    Police said the shooting happened in the area of Central Ave. and Alvarado Dr at Tewa Lodge while officers were conducting a “code enforcement” operation.

    During the operation, officers detained several people. One person wouldn’t give their identity, and a “disturbance” occurred. Shots were fired by at least one officer, APD stated. An adult man was killed, and his identity is currently unknown.

    The Multi-Agency Task Force is investigating the incident. No other details on the shooting have been released.
