WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The Wichita Police Department is asking for the public’s help to find a man convicted in another man’s death.

Kevin Harris was out on bond and wearing an ankle monitor after pleading guilty to voluntary manslaughter in April. Prosecutors said he shot and killed 51-year-old Jose Lumbreras in August 2023 on North Broadway.

He was supposed to be sentenced Wednesday, but police say he cut off his ankle monitor Wednesday and did not show up in court.

The district court has issued a warrant for Harris’ arrest.
