NORTON, Kan. (KSNW) — A 20-year-old man is dead, and two others were injured after a crash in Norton County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says it happened shortly after 10 a.m. Thursday on U.S. Highway 283, south of Norton.

Troopers say a 29-year-old woman from Lenora was driving an SUV south on U.S. 283 when, for an unknown reason, she left the road to the right.

The SUV came back onto the road and then crossed the center line. The driver overcorrected, causing the SUV to roll.

Another speeder, another ticket for over 100 mph

The driver and her two occupants were taken to an area hospital for treatment.

KHP says Senquay Montes, a 20-year-old man from Lenora, was pronounced dead a short time later.

The other occupant, a 75-year-old woman, suffered serious injuries, while the driver was believed to have received minor injuries.
