Possible explosive device discovered in El Dorado

EL DORADO, Kan. (KSNW) – The Wichita Police Explosive Ordinance Disposal Team and ATF responded to El Dorado after a possible explosive device was discovered.

El Dorado police say the device was discovered Saturday afternoon near Park and Shelden on the city’s south side. Officers were serving a warrant when they discovered the device.

Police asked people to avoid the area while they investigated and removed the device. It was cleared from the home around 8:30 p.m.
