WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, a chain that started in Wichita, cut the ribbon and opened a new Training and Innovation Center on Tuesday.

The 23,000-square-foot facility, located at 3020 N. Cypress St., is the headquarters and serves as the franchise’s training hub.

The president said the restaurant is committed to staying in Wichita.

“Wichita is a town that has great folks. We have a current team of Wichitans that are talented and love Freddy’s and know this brand in and out, and we believe as we grow, we have a great talent pool,” Chris Dull, president and CEO of Freddy’s, said.

The new location features a restaurant where managers can train and chefs can test new food items.

“We can take folks new to Freddy’s and put them through the ringer and teach them the basics before they’re in an active restaurant,” Dull said.
