HAYS, Kan. (KSNW) – Authorities in Ellis County are looking for a 48-year-old man who went missing on Tuesday.

According to the Ellis County Sheriff’s Office, Kurt J. Stecklein was last known to be driving around Saline River Road and Coddell Avenue in a dark blue 2011 Chevy Silverado pickup. Authorities say he was believed to be having a medical emergency when he called a family member for a ride around 4:30 p.m.

A family member could not locate him, and contacted the sheriff’s office. A search was conducted by deputies and a Kansas Highway Patrol aircraft after dark, and it continued this morning. So far, he hasn’t been found.
