Pedestrian struck by city vehicle in El Dorado

EL DORADO, Kan. (KSNW) — A pedestrian is expected to recover after they were struck by a city vehicle in El Dorado.

Police say it happened Friday in the 800 block of North Main, near Main Park, shortly before 8 a.m. The department says a city-owned maintenance truck hit a pedestrian underneath a bridge.

The pedestrian was taken to the hospital in serious condition. Their injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.

The area where the pedestrian was struck is part of a pedestrian and bike path tha t begins at Riverside Park along the west branch of the Walnut Riv er and ends at the El Dorado Lake Dam.
