WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The community rallies around a horse rescue struggling to provide water to its animals.

On Monday, KSN News brought you the story of Storm Creek Horse Co. Farm and Rescue after their well went dry and water had to be hauled to the animals.

On Wednesday, a new well was donated. Several companies gave supplies and dug the well after seeing the struggle.

“And all four of those companies donated everything so that what we have to do is get some electric service ran and get lines ran from the new well to tie into the old well system, which is very doable,” Lisa Loyd, Storm Creek Horse Co. Farm & Rescue, said.

Loyd said it is great to see other people passionate about saving animals.

“This is just another time that you know we’re willing to put in work, but when we don’t have the equipment or the supplies or the well that we need and the community showed up,” Loyd added.

The only money the farm will have to spend is on equipment to dig trenches.
