9:42 p.m. UPDATE: The city’s water treatment plant is back up and running , and the water restriction has been removed.

MCCOOK, Neb. (KSNW) — Residents of McCook, Nebraska, are subject to mandatory water restriction until further notice.

The City of McCook says a broken pipe at the water treatment plant means it cannot produce water. Residents are asked to use water only for flushing and drinking until repairs are made.
