Double trouble: Southeast High Buffaloes has four sets of twins this season

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – If double is trouble, the Wichita Southeast High School football team will be a force this year. The team has four sets of twins.

“To have four sets is unbelievable,” said head coach Corby Milleson. “And not only that, but we have more sets of twins. One of our kids is playing is a twin, but his brother’s only playing basketball, so he could have five sets just on the team.”

Coach Milleson says the players are pretty comfortable in their roles.

“A lot of these kids have played together and gone to school together, and to them, they don’t even think about it. It’s just they’re just other kids out there just having to look like,” said Coach Milleson. “I think they’re tickled pink that they get to play with their brothers so much.”

The players say it creates a fun environment.

“It’s fun going against him all the time. Like, I know I have to go against him, so we always make it like a fun brawl just to see how can go on the ground first and like that,” said Johah Simmons, left tackle and defensive end.

“It’s good sometimes, but it’s a little annoying other times because you’re always with him,” laughed quarterback Mack O’Bar.

“It’s pretty fun, honestly,” said Ethin Brashear, tackle and defensive end.

“It kind of gets annoying sometimes, but you deal with it,” laughed Donavin Kincaid, safety.

“He’s always there for me when I need him,” continued Torean Kincaid, left tackle.

The team’s first conference game is this Friday at Wichita South High School.
