SALINA, Kan. (KSNW) — Police say a football fan from Mulvane ended up in jail in Salina Friday night after allegedly hitting an officer and a security guard. The man was at the game between Salina South and Maize South.

The Salina Police Department says other people at the game began complaining about the 43-year-old man’s behavior. Some witnesses said he was screaming at players and others and was drinking.

The man was asked to leave the stadium, but then he remained on the property outside the stadium. A security staff member and a resource officer approached him and asked him to leave.

According to the Salina Police Department, the man began fighting with them. The security guard got a cut on his head, and the resource officer had a contusion over her eye. They used Tasers on the man and arrested him.
