    Kansas State Fair releases 2024 attendance numbers

    HUTCHINSON, Kan. (KSNW) — The Kansas State Fair released its attendance numbers for 2024 on Wednesday. Officials say 328,714 people visited the fair during the 10-day event.

    The number is about 1,300 less than last year, but the fair general manager, Bryan Schulz, is still pleased with the turnout.

    “We’re absolutely thrilled with this year’s strong attendance,” he said in a news release. “Fantastic weather contributed to the large crowds, and it was heartwarming to see so many people coming together to enjoy the fair.”

    He said the first Saturday of the fair had its largest crowd in six years, with more than 51,000 visitors. The second Saturday had 56,000.

    The grandstand concert series had its highest attendance since 2015. The acts included Wynonna Judd, Goo Goo Dolls, Casting Crowns, Riley Green, and The Oak Ridge Boys. The Demo Derby set a new attendance record with 2,947 fans.

    Schulz thanked everyone who made this year’s Kansas State Fair a success.

    Mark your calendars if you don’t want to miss next year’s celebration of Kansas culture, agriculture and entertainment. The 2025 Kansas State Fair will run from Sept. 5 to 14.
