Oscar Meyer Wienermobile coming to Downtown Chili Cookoff

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – The dog days of summer may come to a close Sunday, but the Oscar Meyer Wienermobile will be hot-dogging across Wichita next weekend.

You can ketchup with the Wienermobile and its crew, piloted by Connor Wolff, aka Captain Glizzy and his co-pilot “Aioli” Akira Potts at three different events, including the annual Wagonmasters Downtown Chili Cookoff on Saturday, Sept. 28.

The festivities start at 10 a.m. at 601 E. Douglas in downtown Wichita with chili tasting starting at noon. If you can’t make it out on Saturday, there are other opportunities to relish with the Oscar Meyer team.

They will be parking their buns at Exploration Place on Friday, Sept. 27, from 2 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and at the Dillon’s Marketplace at 21st and Maize Road on Sunday, Sept. 29, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Wolff tells KSN News that everyone is invited to stop by, meet the crew, and grab some special Wienermobilia.
