WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A 49-year-old Great Bend man was sentenced in an aggravated indecent liberties case involving a child under the age of 14.

Investigators say the crime occurred at a Larned home between 2016 and 2017.

Shelby Lee Starr entered an Alford plea in the case back in April, and on Monday, a judge sentenced Starr to 320 months (26.6 years) in prison based on the case and a prior sex offense conviction that occurred in 1999. He will be subject to lifetime post-release supervision and will have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
