WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Game of the Week for Week 4 is a 3A matchup between two undefeated teams : Wichita Collegiate and Andale. They duel it out Friday to see who can keep that perfect winning-streak alive.

The Spartans head into this game after two dominant offensive performance. The team defeated El Dorado 30-0 in Week 3. However, Andale is setting up to be a tough opponent for Collegiate.

The Indians were the only team to beat the Spartans in 2023, collecting two wins. One of those knocked Collegiate out of the playoffs. The Spartans’ players are ready for the challenge the Indians bring.

“I think a big thing is going to be how we prepare this week. Obviously, this is a pretty physical team and so in practice we’ve got to just make sure we can replicate as close as we can to what the in-game scenario is going to look like. And so just making sure we get after it in practice is going to be really important,” said Spartans senior wide receiver and safety Jack Grace.

“I would say our physicality right now we’ve shown a lot of good traits of that through practice, added Roman Hourani, Spartans senior wide receiver and safety. “I mean, every play we’re going hard, We’re not we’re not like backing up from the competition. And I would say our athleticism as well.”

Andale has also put up some high scoring games in the start of the season, recording a 52-point shutout over Rose Hill in Week 3.

But the Indians still aren’t satisfied and hope to dominate once again. The last time they lost to Collegiate was in 2015. They have a chance to keep their 10-game series win streak alive.

“They got a good group of guys for sure. The past two years, they’ve been great time. We also have a great team. I mean, I couldn’t be more happy with what we’re working with right now. So just really excited to see what happens,” said Bo Kaiser, Indians senior wide receiver and safety.

“It’s a great rivalry. I love playing against Collegiate. They’re a good team and I respect them as a team and it’s always fun to have a good game,” said Indians senior wide receiver and defensive lineman Cale Andree.

Wichita Collegiate and Andale will kick off at 7 p.m. on Friday at Andale. Tune into KSN News at 10 for Friday Football Fever coverage from KSN Sports Director Zach Martin and reporter Asia Cymone Smith.
