Fall festivals near Wichita this weekend

CONWAY SPRINGS, Kan. (KSNW) — Fall Festival season is officially here, and a few places around Wichita are hosting theirs this weekend. Conway Springs , Maize and Andover are all hosting their fall festivals this weekend.

Conway Springs almost lost their Fall Festival after COVID-19, but a committee of community members took over to make sure it would continue. They say passion is what keeps it going.

“We come together one day and one weekend and really show the unity of the community,” committee member April Zoglmann said.

They say the festival is a special time for their community.

“It’s an event that everybody waits for all year long,” Rachel Erker said. “It really brings the community together. We try to involve as many activities and bring the schools in, all the schools come in to help sponsor events, be a part of the parade, businesses get involved, people who have moved away come back for fall fest so it’s really just a big community event.”
