WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW)—The City of Wichita announced that the Maya Angelou Branch of the Wichita Public Library will close on Oct. 1 for renovations.

The city said the branch at 3051 E. 21st St. will undergo a complete interior remodel as part of the library’s master plan to enhance services at branch locations.

The library website says construction is expected to take three to four months. When the branch reopens, it will have enhanced facilities, including a new reading room and improved technology and program spaces.
