WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A bridge to Eisenhower National Airport and several lanes of Kellogg were closed Monday afternoon after reports of objects falling off the bridge.

Wichita Police shut down the northbound bridge from Ridge Rd. to the airport. By 3:15 p.m., the bridge had reopened.

Police also temporarily closed the left and center lanes of westbound Kellogg underneath the bridge. As of 3:15 p.m., those lanes were reopened, and the right lane was closed. By 3:30 p.m., the right lane was also open.

The Kansas Department of Transportation was notified. KSN News will update this story when we learn more about why objects may have fallen from the bridge.

In May, KDOT began a project to repair all three bridges connecting Kellogg and Ridge Road to Eisenhower Airport.

so if they began this plan to repair all three of those bridges then is there not like a blueprint or a project that has been like officially assigned and contracted or any portions of it being worked on or is this something that just like randomly started happening and out of nowhere pieces of the bridge just start falling off magically which granted it is possible to be attentive to the roadway there are people who are hired to do that for a reason and when there are visible signs or potential severe damage if not tended to then there's typically like a timeline or some sort of testing that can be done that is able to tell
