MANHATTAN, Kan. ( KSNT ) – The family of a young woman who was severely injured in an incident near the Little Apple’s bar district in August has posted a large cash reward for information on the situation. The woman is from the Wichita area.

The Riley County Police Department (RCPD) posted to social media on Wednesday, Oct. 2, that the family of a woman hurt near Aggieville on Aug. 30 has posted a $10,000 reward for those who bring information forward about how the woman was injured. People can contact police in Manhattan by calling 785-537-2112 .

Police spokeswoman Ashley Tokoi said the woman is out of the hospital following the incident. Investigators currently have no evidence of how the woman was injured.

“We are currently still waiting on the results of tests and are again asking the public if they saw anything on the night in question,” Tokoi said.

I find it interesting the police call this an incident, in a previous briefing, but the family believes it was more than that, but nothing is stated what they think. The police can't even say how she was injured. To offer a $10,000.00 reward, which makes me wonder if someone slipped something in her drink and it made her hallucinate because she already had some type of drug in her system. Or the police don't believe her. The hospital usually gets toxic screens back pretty quickly. The Aggieville club scene can be rough on a good night and drugs are a normal event! No matter what, this girl will need professional help to overcome this.
