Cowley County church collecting supplies for Hurricane Helene victims

COWLEY COUNTY, Kan. (KSNW) – The First Baptist Church in Burden is collecting supplies to help the victims of Hurricane Helene.

Cowley County residents who are looking to donate are asked to bring the following supplies:

• Bottled water
• Paper products
• Powdered milk
• Canned soups
• Personal care/hygiene products
• Cleaning products
• Baby formula/diapers
• Tarps
• Evaporated milk

Donations will be accepted at three locations:

• First Baptist Church, 423 Elm St. in Burden
  • Donations will be accepted from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12
• Winfield Fire Department, 330 E. 9th Ave. in Winfield
  • Donations will be accepted through Friday

The church will head to North Carolina on Monday, Oct. 14.
