Massive toys part of new Exploration Place exhibit

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A new exhibit featuring large toys will open on Friday, Oct. 11, at Wichita’s Exploration Place and run until Jan. 12.

Toytopia will contain the world’s largest Etch A Sketch, life-size versions of classic games like Monopoly, Battleship and Connect 4, a large Lego wall, and vintage video games. There will also be displays of toys and their history showcased.

Exploration Place says the exhibit will allow parents to share their favorite childhood toys with their kids in an engaging, hands-on environment.

“I love the sense of nostalgia that this exhibit evokes,” said Adam Smith, Exploration Place’s president and CEO. “Particularly as we enter the holiday season, I think families will enjoy exploring Toytopia together.”

Exploration Place is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily and through 8 p.m. on Thursdays. For more information, click here.
