CLAY CENTER, Kan. ( KSNT ) – A 72-year-old man and a 79-year-old woman were killed, and three others were seriously injured in a crash on Saturday. The crash happened around 3:55 p.m. west of Clay Center in Clay County.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, an 18-year-old man from Clay Center was driving a 2001 Ford Ranger east on U.S. Highway 24. A 47-year-old man from Shawnee was driving a 2004 Toyota Sienna west on U.S. 24. For an unknown reason, the 18-year-old crossed the center line and entered the westbound lane. The two vehicles hit head-on.
