    80-year-old New York man dies in central Kansas crash

    KANSAS ( KSNT ) – An 80-year-old New York motorcyclist died after being hit by a semi-truck in on Wednesday in Norton County.

    At 4:06 p.m. on Wednesday, a 78-year-old man was turning a Mack semi-truck left on U36 south onto Norton County Road W1. The 80-year-old was driving a BMW Motorcycle east on U36. The motorcycle hit a passenger tire on the semi-trailer. The motorcycle came to rest facing north on U36, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol Crash log.

    The 80-year-old’s next of kin was notified by an area hospital. The man wasn’t wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, according to the log.
