Block party and vendor market kicks-off as students return to Emporia

TOPEKA ( KSNT ) – Jess Buchholz and Casey Woods with the Emporia Main Street join the 27 News Morning crew ahead of two events making their way to Emporia.

Up first is the Welcome Back Student Block Party in downtown Emporia taking place on Monday Aug. 19 from 5:30 p.m. – 7 p.m. in the evening.

Down the road, the annual Great American Market returns on Sept. 14 , with six blocks of Commercial Street featuring food trucks, collectibles, clothes and everything in between.
