    Topeka BBQ restaurant closes after 24 years

    TOPEKA ( KSNT ) – A BBQ joint in the capital city is closing its doors after nearly 25 years of business.

    Lonnie Q’s BBQ announced on social media Friday evening that it will soon be closing its doors. After 24 years in business, the post states that the “Mom & Pop” BBQ restaurant will be closing, “regrettably due to unforeseen circumstances”.

    Thank you to all the loyal customers that helped make this “Mom & Pop” BBQ restaurant a HUGE success over the past 24 years.

    We’ve smoked a lot of BBQ and made a lot of great friends. It’s been a FANTASTIC RIDE!

    The restaurant will be closing its doors for good Saturday, Aug. 24, 2024. Lonnie Q’s BBQ is located at 3150 SE 21st St, Topeka, KS.
