TOPEKA ( KSNT ) – Topeka’s new City Manager Dr. Robert Perez will be holding a special meet and greet later this month in the downtown area.

Dan Garrett with the City of Topeka announced in a press release Tuesday, Sept. 3 that Perez will be available from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 26 at The Tee Box located at 906 South Kansas Avenue. Snacks will be provided for this special event which is being held thanks to a collaboration with the Greater Topeka Partnership (GTP).

“The Partnership is proud to partner with the City of Topeka in welcoming our new City Manager, Dr. Robert Perez,” said Matt Pivarnik, CEO of the GTP. “This open house event at The Tee Box is a fantastic opportunity for our community to come together, get to know Dr. Perez, and experience the warm hospitality that our downtown businesses are known for. We believe in fostering strong relationships between our city’s leadership and the residents, and this event is a perfect way to kick off what we know will be a successful tenure for the City Manager here in Topeka,”

Topekans are invited to meet Perez at The Tee Box and welcome him to the community. Perez officially became the new city manager earlier this year after accepting a contract for $255,000 .
