    Charges made in 2024’s 11th Topeka homicide

    TOPEKA ( KSNT ) – One man has been charged in Topeka’s 11th homicide of the year.
    According to The Topeka Police Department (TPD) Silas Kriner, 21, of Baldwin City was transported to the Shawnee County Department of Corrections for the following charges:

    • 1st Degree Murder
    • Aggravated Robbery

    Around 12:00 a.m., on Saturday, July 20, Officers with TPD responded to the 2900 block of southwest Topeka Blvd. in reference to a shooting.

    When officers arrived to the scene they found Earon Cooper , 31, of Lawrence suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
