TOPEKA ( KSNT ) – Topeka’s West Ridge Mall is welcoming in a new addition to its food court area this weekend.

KSNT 27 News spoke with Eric Alcantara, owner of Mr. Teriyaki, at the mall about the imminent opening of his new business. People will soon be able to purchase fried rice, vegetables, chicken and beef at Mr. Teriyaki.

“This type of food, I feel like everybody likes it, you know,” Alcantara said. “We have been having a lot of requests already, ‘When are you guys going to open?’, and I mean it’s finally here.”

Alcantara, who also owns local restaurants Buffalo Grill and Mexicali, said he plans to open to the public at noon on Sunday, Sept. 22. Mr. Teriyaki will follow mall hours and be open every day of the week.
