TOPEKA ( KSNT ) – John “Iron Man” Cantrell has announced details of the next fight night in the capital city.

The boxer hosted “The Border War” earlier this year, where Cantrell faced off against a Missouri fighter at Evergy Plaza. Now, Cantrell is teaming up with Advisors Excel and KSNT for “West Ridge Fight Night”. He told 27 News his goal is to get the community out to enjoy all that Topeka has to offer.

Cantrell said there are many great boxers in the capital city, and the fight night is just one way for them to get the recognition they deserve.

What family-friendly fall events are happening in NE Kansas?

“They work hard, and they train hard and they do a lot and they put a lot of work and time in,” Cantrell said. “And to be able to showcase them and show them in front of the fans and in front of their families at a really upscale, fancy, nice event. They deserve it.”

He told 27 News 10 percent of the proceeds from the fight night will support the Topeka Youth Project. West Ridge Fight Night will take place from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the West Ridge Mall on Saturday, Nov. 23.
